Illustration Round Draft
Your illustrator begins to draw spreads of pages and character poses. You react. You can say: her hair colour is off, or that stuffed animal needs to look cuter, etc. We renovate early rather than letting things get hard. This puts you in control.

Finally, words and art collide on the page. We manipulate turns of the page so that the giggle is in the right place. We divide dialogue into manageable parts that one can read without stumbling. It is at this point that it starts to feel like a literal children’s book.
